Cell Cryopreservation

Cell cryopreservation is used to decrease the frequency of genetic mutations or drift within a cell line. It also reduces the risk of contamination.

Texcell has the capacity to scale up cell lines for cryopreservation for a client according to their preferred cell density and cryoprotectant medium.

Custom cryopreservation studies can be performed at various cell densities to ensure that you maintain high cell viability.

Short-term storage of large quantities of vials can be provided for transfer to a client’s facility.

Texcell routinely stores small quantities of cell lines for clients in long-term LN2 storage to ensure excellent cell viability. This also provides the client the ability to restart a project immediately by contacting Texcell staff and having their cell line thawed for expansion.
